Alfredo Marcucci’s typical orchestra It is the first and the only one tango argentino traditional “big orchestra” and it is made up by musicians selected through a national audition by the argentino teacher. Marcucci is a prestigious fame arranger and musician. He started playing bandoneòn at the age of 7 and he started his professional career in the 40’s , playing in the orchestras of Julio de Caro, Eduardo Bianco, Juan Canaro, Jorge Caldara, Enrique Mario Francini, Carlos Di Sarli, myth-names of tango argentino. He is nowadays performing with his “ Sexteto Veritango” and in several other formations. Guest in the most important concert-halls and European Tango Festivals. The Orchestra musicians are all professionist, with different careers of studies. Almost all of them followed classical studies, a few of them have important experiences in jazz- studies, others are in deep tango education. The Orchestra part that will perform at the festival will be made up of 8 elements ( 2 bandoneòns, 2 strings, 2 bass , viola, violoncello and piano),group that makes Marinucci’s Orchestra Tipica unique in the Italian landscape and among the 3/4 greatest tango orchestras in Europe. Director and first orchestra bandoneòn is Alfredo Marcucci: the other two bandoneòs are Gianni Iorio( one of the most talented Italian musicians, he made two cds with his “Nuevo Tango Ensamble” and Ezio Borghese, “Akkordeon Ensemble” solo and Giampaolo Costantini, leader and musician of the “Vox ‘900”, the first string, Enrico Luxardo is an esatblished musician in the Regio Theatre in Turin, the second string is Valentina Rauseo, solo concertist and hall-concertist.
The orchestra appeared for the first time on 2th july 2004 at the Giardini Reali in Turin, in the “Tur-in-Tango” second edition context, a Festival belonging to the “ Torino Punti Verdi” exibition, organized by the city of Turin and by Teatro Regio. In 2005 the orchestra has made the debut with milonga at the Maison Musique of Rivoli and it has taken part in the first international Festival “Amarcord Tango” in the Grand Hotel of Rimini. It has participated, besides, in the 10th edition of Cherasco Festival with the show” Buenos Aires”. In may 2006 the Orchestra has given two double concerts in Milano and Avellino . In july it had been protagonist in Saint Vincent and Aosta in the show “ Buenos Aires Tango” with two couples of Argentine dancers and in october it had been invited in Napoli for an evening show and a milonga in the context of the charitable initiative “Health-dancing”. On the 11th and 12th of April 2007 in Turin, the orchestra has taken part to the VIII season of The Piccolo Regio Laboratorio, organized by the Teatro Regio of Turin, with the recital “ El poeta y la Musica”; Horacio Ferrer has been the main character. The Orchestra has played in concert in the Suoneria of Settimo Torinese and at the XXI Craftsmanship exhibition in Pinerolo with a concert-show and two couples of dancers. Besides,it has participated in the gala-evenings for the national selections of the IV Campeonato Mundial de Baile de Tango organized by the City of Buenos Aires. Next commitments, on november 15th at the Conservatorio “G. Verdi” in Turin, on november 16th at the Maison Musique in Rivoli,and on January 26th at the Piccolo Regio Puccini in Turin.
